Notes from the field
I discovered field hockey in grade nine at my high school when I was 14 years old. It was the perfect combination of all of the sports I grew up playing – ice hockey, soccer and running track and field. I come from a very sport oriented household with my dad playing ice hockey in the NHL and my mom representing Canada in track and field. After joining the national field hockey team, I met my husband while we were both competing for Canada. We played in two Commonwealth Games and one Pan American Games together. I have a degree in Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice with a minor in Law and Society from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. I also have a certificate in Sports Industry Essentials from Columbia University in New York. Outside of hockey, I love cooking, baking, traveling and being in the outdoors.
Make a coffee with my teammates and get my hair braided.
